Our practice is committed to preventative health care for your companion animal. Regular exams allow us to diagnose diseases and conditions early, when they are often easier to treat or manage. Appropriate vaccinations can often prevent or minimize the severity of certain common diseases such as parvovirus and respiratory illness. We recommend vaccinating all pets against rabies as this is a fatal illness which is found in Alberta’s wildlife, and even indoor pets can be exposed to high risk species such as bats.
Healthy adult dogs and cats should visit their veterinarian once a year, while puppies, kittens, senior pets, and pets with health issues need more frequent checkups. We can work with you to determine the best health program for your pet.
